Auckland Beekeepers' Club Inc is based at Unitec Campus in Mt Albert, Auckland.
We have a number of teaching hives – Langstroth, Top Bar and a Long Hive. The hives are managed by beekeepers using different management techniques.
Field Days are on a monthly basis, and from Spring to Autumn we have mid-monthly meetings. The monthly field days are held on the second Saturday of the month. These meetings are more formal in that there is an advertised programme. We cover current ‘what to do now’ (in the apiary) and other topics of interest, including guest speakers. Weather permitting there is a practical ‘hands on’ in the beehives, before and after lunch. The mid-month meetings are notified by email to members.
Our calendar page has our current schedule of meetings and events.
As a club we need help from volunteers and ask members to get involved as it is a great way to learn and make new friends
Our club provides a wonderful venue for anyone interested in the Bee or the art of Beekeeping. For further information please contact us.
