About the Auckland Beekeepers Club

Welcome to our site.

The Auckland Beekeepers Club was established over 60 years ago.

The founding members were a group of hobbyist beekeepers who had been in the Auckland Branch of the National Beekeepers Association. As their interests were not primarily commercial or political, they established the club tailored more to their needs.

The club now, as in the past, has a strong focus on teaching the art of beekeeping.

The monthly field days usually start with a practical “How to,” make or do something in regard to the hives, or a working bee to maintain the area around the site.

After lunch there is a lecture/and or discussions covering current “What to do now” in the apiary and other topics of interest, including guest speakers. Weather permitting, there is a practical hands on in one of the clubs 6 hives.

Our club provides a wonderful venue for anyone interested in the Bee or the art of Beekeeping. If we can be of further assistance please contact us.
