MOST FIELD DAYS
WILL be HELD on the
2ND SATURDAY of the MONTH
Field days
People start to arrive from 10:30 am. or so. Usually a few hives are opened for inspection, maintenance jobs, get to know everybody and general chin wagging.
The shop is usually open from 11:00 .with an opportunity to pay subs , purchase varroa treatments etc. Please note that the shop is for members only.
After tea and lunch (bring something to share ) there is usually a practical display or talk then an open discussion on some timely topic such as wintering down, mite treatments etc. Then their are club announcements, questions & answers.
After the question time the rest of the hives are usually opened for inspections, and any manipulations made.
This is a great opportunity to get some hands on practical experience close up and personal with our bees. There are a number of "bee Suits " available on a first come best dressed basis.
For quarantine reasons we ask everybody to leave your own equipment (such as hive tools and smokers ) at home and use the clubs.
Anybody is welcome to visit ,with respect for other people and our bees.
Information is free ----- Bring your own container.
